Acid reflux is also called gastroesophageal reflux. It is considered as, a disorder where the acidic juices of the stomach flows back (reflux) into the esophagus. The analysis, in the U.S., showed that being overweight increased by more than 50 percent a person’s odds of developing GERD – a serious disease resulting from chronic heartburn.
